Going by the tags, texts, FB messages and emails I guess you have heard the news….I can go back to work!!!
That’s right, as per the government’s announcement on Thursday 9 July, close contact services are able to return to work as of Monday 13 July. Talk about short notice!
As you know I have been writing risk assessments and getting everything ready for this day, however there are a few things in the latest published guidelines that has not been mentioned before and therefore I need to rewrite my risk assessment (for the 5th time) and get in some additional PPE, provisions and make extra considerations. I am also awaiting confirmation from Environmental Health (Brentwood Borough Council) and Essex Trading Standards as to precisely what services I am able to offer (i.e. I am awaiting confirmation on the use of Medical Acupuncture). In addition to this I am having to go digital with regards to my booking systems, client forms and notes.
I am sure you can appreciate this takes time. With this in mind I have set Monday 27 July as my first day back in clinic. There will be reduced hours initially and it is going to be very different to what we are used to, next week I shall be sending out further information on how it will all work.
As of next week, I shall be contacting people directly, in the following order, with regards to booking appointments:
Once I have contacted these clients, it will be an open book.
I will be in touch very soon with more information, but I just wanted to spread the good news.
I can not thank you enough for your support and understanding throughout all of this and for your patience as I adjust to a new way of working, together we will get you back on track!
My clinic is based in west Brentwood, Essex. It is walking distance from the High Street and Brentwood Rail Station; and a short drive from J28 of the M25, free parking is available on the drive.
